The IPL auction was held today at Bangalore and there were total of 351 players. These included 122 international players and 6 from Associate nations i.e. 1 from UAE and 5 from Afghanistan. Initially, the number was 799, but then it was reduced.
Ben Stokes, the England all-rounder was the most expensive player in the auction; Rising Pune Supergiants bought him for Rs 14.50 crores. No doubt, this bidding war was INTENSE. This team defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians to get Stokes.

Ben indeed struck a million dollar deal; IPL 10 is going to be super fun after seeing the teams, isn’t it. One surprising thing is that Irfan Pathan (Base price INR 50 lakhs) , Ishant Sharma (Base price INR 2 crores), Cheteshwar Pujara (Base price INR 50 lakhs) and top ranked bowler Imran Tahir (Base price INR 50 lakhs) are missing; they remain unsold.
