#1 Bobble on the hat
I bet you didn’t know what the bobble is for. Well, the first bobble appeared in the 18th century. French marines wore them because during those days ship cabins had very low ceilings, so bobbles were very important to protect sailors from hurting their heads. #2 The hole in the stick
Are you one of those people who think that the hole in the lollipop stick prevents suffocation or you could use it as a whistle after you’ve finished your candy? Well, then you’re wrong. Actually, the hole is designed for the candy not to fall. During the making of the candy when the stick is sunk in the liquid candy, the liquid fills the hole first and once the candy cools down, it fixes the whole candy, making it hard and firm.
#3 Trousers Creases
Why do trousers have them? Well, it happened in the end of the 19th century. Clothes that were made in European factories were sent to other countries. In order to fit as many clothes as possible into the ship’s hold, it was folded, and due to long travel the trousers had severe creases, it was almost impossible to get rid of the creases.
